SBA offers program for disadvataged enterpreneurs

MINNEAPOLIS – An orientation to the U.S. Small Business Administration's Section 8(a) Business Development Program that helps socially and economically disadvantaged small business owners… MINNEAPOLIS – An orientation to the U.S. Small Business Administration's Section 8(a) Business Development Program that helps socially and economically disadvantaged small business owners access government contracting opportunities will be offered Tuesday, January 7, 2003, 9:00 to 10:30 a.m.

The session will be held at the SBA Minnesota District Office, 100 Sixth Street North, 210-C Butler Square, in downtown Minneapolis. There is no fee.

Socially and economically disadvantaged individuals include Black Americans, Hispanic Americans, Native Americans, Asian Pacific Americans and Subcontinent Asian Americans.

Individuals not members of these minority groups who can demonstrate that they are socially and economically disadvantaged may also be eligible.
