Dipankar Mukherjee (right), founder of Pantages World Theatre directs the play. Keith, the main character of the play, said Hobbes slips through the cracks because he can’t stop smoking crack. Still, Keith wants to improve his life — get and stay clean, move out of the shelter and be a father to his six-year-old son. Keith’s quest is complicated by his relationships with Anjinette, who wants to quit the street-life and find a husband a make a home; and by Truck, the drug dealer whose presence creates volatility for Keith and Anjinette. The play stars Andre Samples as Keith, in a role Hobbes says reflects his own experiences. Damon James stars as Truck and Constance Anderson stars as Anjinette. Mukherjee called the play incendiary. He said Hobbes words are like fire, capable of illuminating the whole human experience. For more information,(612) 338-6131.
