TEENS: NEED A SUMMER JOB?

The Golden Valley and Rockford Road libraries will be your teen's one-stop source for a summer job when they hold a summer job program for teens ages 15-19 and parents.

Tammy Dickinson, a teen job counselor, will offer tips on finding potential jobs, the do's and don'ts of job applications, resumes, and interviews, and other expert advice to help teens find employment. Dickinson is a youth program coordinator for Tree Trust, a nonprofit organization that offers employment training for at-risk youth, and has presented job search workshops at area schools.

Teens will perform a skit demonstrating what to do and what not to do when interviewing, and a teen will be on hand to talk about her successful job search. Job applications from local employers will be available; refreshments will be served.
