Top students receive U of Minnesota Dove Fellowship for graduate studies

Christopher Buckley of New Orleans and Bradford Paul of Upland, Calif., are recipients of a University of Minnesota's Diversity of Views and Experiences (DOVE) Recruiting Fellowship for 2004-05.

The fellowship program, sponsored by the University of Minnesota's Office of Graduate School Outreach, seeks to assist graduate programs to promote a diversity of view, experience and ideas and attract more students of color to pursue graduate studies at the University of Minnesota.

Buckley is pursuing a doctorate degree in school psychology at the U of M. He graduated from Jesuit High School in 1997 and earned a B.S. degree cum laude in psychology from Xavier University in 2001. This August, Buckley completed two years in the Japanese Exchange and Teaching Program. He taught English to over 1,000 students in two Japanese junior high schools in Saitama City, Japan.
