Rep. Maxine Waters, Dem., CA, urges people who care about "fair and humane treatment for all families living and working in the United States" to work against efforts to criminalize undocumented immigrants.

She said she supports bills such as S.1033 and H.R. 2330 that would secure the borders, while easing and clarifying the process for eleven million undocumented immigrants to gain legal status.

Waters said that there also needs to be a livable wage standard for all workers and punishment for employers who violate the law.
