Robert Doty, veteran finance and administration executive, will join the Harvest Network of Schools as chief operating officer/chief financial officer effective Sept. 14.
Doty has served as the chief operations/finance officer at Minneapolis Public Schools (MPS) since December 2011. At MPS, Doty directed the finance and operations for Minneapolis Public Schools’ $845 million school district. In this role he oversaw the areas of transportation, facilities, plant operations, athletics, safety and security and nutrition services, among others.

Prior to joining MPS, Mr. Doty worked at RAD Consulting where he specialized in accounting, tax preparation and business consulting. Prior to that he spent 13 years at Dunwoody College of Technology as a senior vice president and chief financial officer. He had previously served as a senior auditor at St. Paul Travelers Insurance, Burlington Northern Railroad and Ernst and Young, LLC.
Doty holds both a bachelor of science and a master of business administration from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota.
