Interfaith service to end gun violence July 17

In the wake of the terrible gun violence in the Twin Cities and across the nation this past week, people from all faith traditions are invited to an Interfaith Service to pray for an end to gun violence on Sunday, July 17, beginning at 6:30 p.m. at the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer, 285 Dale St. N. in St. Paul. This non-political service will include gospel music, prayers by a Jewish cantor and the tolling of a bell for all those killed by gun fire in recent weeks, including Philando Castile and the police officers who were murdered in Dallas. Clergy are invited to vest and arrive by 6:15 p.m. for the procession. A reception will follow.

After the service, all are invited to stay for a presentation about the Interfaith Alliance for Gun Safety and what people of faith can do right now to help bring an end to gun violence.
