Macy's Glamorama 2012, starring Robin Thicke and featuring Karmin, celebrates British Invasion: The Music Then. The Fashion Now! From The Beatles to The Rolling Stones, Macy's Glamorama 2012 pays homage to some of the world's most well-known and respected British pop icons from the past 50 years. Since the 1960's, British bands have inspired culture while capturing the attention of the world. Their music exalts us all and provides the inspiration behind this year's visuals, fashion segments and after-party elements.
Join us on this magical journey inspired by music from bands that changed the world of pop music! Macy's Glamorama is an hour-long high-end fashion show and musical production that not only unveils Macy's latest fashions but also showcases heart-stopping dance, lush visuals, staging as well as incredible musical performances by chart-topping artists. The event will once again benefit Children's Cancer Research Fund.
In its 20th year, Macy's Glamorama 2012 welcomes Robin Thicke, one of the most respected singer-songwriters in soul and R&B music today. Thicke has written and produced songs for more than 20 gold and platinum albums and is currently featured on the ABC reality singing series "Duets" where he serves as a show "Superstar" alongside Kelly Clarkson, John Legend and Jennifer Nettles. Karmin, made up of Amy Heidemann and Nick Noonan, gained popularity through their collection of YouTube cover songs and most recently released the original tracks "Brokenhearted" and the blazing, rap-fueled "I Told You So" from the duo's debut album, Hello.
