22 Jump Street: Tatum and Hill generate chemistry again in hilarious college campus adventure
When we last saw LAPD Officers Morton Schmidt (Jonah Hill) and Greg Jenko (Channing Tatum), the partners were handed new identities and sent back to high school in order to crack a teen drug ring. However, that proved easier said than done, especially since the unathletic nerd and the academically-challenged hunk were both a little long in the tooth to pass for seniors.
One of the hottest trends in entertainment is the advent of the "day party." Common in Atlanta, St. Louis, Houston, Washington D.C. and other urban settings, within the past couple of years Minneapolis has joined in on the afternoon and early evening fun. This past week it was Thee Urbane Life making its debut into the day party arena with its signature Expressions graphic t-shirt party. Style is subjective.
But when it comes to the image of young men of color, a general perception is that too many dress in a manner that dishonors their elders and shows a lack of self-respect. There have been calls from both outside and within the community to have Black males pull up their pants and quit showing the world their brand of underwear. Several cities even have laws on the books saying as much.
The Ordway Center for the Performing Arts announced the lineup for the 14th annual Flint Hills International Children's Festival from May 27-June 1. Minnesota's signature arts festival for children and families—one of the largest of its kind in the nation—features local, regional and international artists representing 25 countries on seven indoor and outdoor stages. The Festival fills downtown Saint Paul's Rice Park, Landmark Center, Landmark Plaza, Hamm Plaza, Ordway Center for the Performing Arts, and the Lehr and Lab Theaters.
