0-8. No, I'm not talking about the New Year. I am referencing the Timberwolves losing streak as of the time of my writing this article. There are a couple of games before this gets printed, so excuse me for overlooking the latest blowouts. I'm sure one of them is going to be like one of those monumental losses that you see in women's college basketball. Something like 127-19.

Alright I've held my tongue long enough – which anyone who reads my articles or has known me since birth should be amazed by.

Okay, maybe they're not that bad, but their record is 4-29. So actually, yes, they are that bad.

I'll clear my throat before I say this one: (cough, ehm, cough, ehm, sniff, swallow THAT'S WHAT THEY GET Eat a bean pie and call me Malcolm, because I see some chickens coming home to roost.

Duane Casey (former T-wolves coach who was fired during the middle of last year was a coach that a team could build a solid foundation around. Calm, calculated, wise by life experience and seasoned in the game of team basketball and Black. Casey coached the "below .500 talent" Timberwolves to a slightly above .500 winning percentage during the year in which he was fired.

Even with Kevin Garnett, the team was below .500 in talent because Kevin Garnett was, and is, The Greatest Role Player in the History of the NBA. He is a rock solid guarantee that your team won't get their butt kicked, but tell me when he scored 40 or 50 points and literally won the game by himself – no, scoring is not everything, but at the end of the day . . . scoreboard, baby.

After Kevin Garnett, you tell me who the superstar was on last year's team. Heck, tell me who the other players were who might make an NBA All-Star game in their very best season past or future.

I loved watching Kevin McHale play basketball with the Boston Celtics. But Kevin McHale's General Manager abilities are just the opposite of his playing abilitites.

I watched the NBA draft briefly in 2006. I liked Randy Foye their 2006 1st round draft pick, because I had seen him play in person during the NCAA tournament games hosted at the Metrodome earlier that year. He is a nice little sharp shooter to have on your team. Randy Foye can help a team be better, I think . . . we'll see. During the same draft was a player named Brandon Roy whom the Timberwolves actually drafted, but then traded for Foye. It took me twenty-seven seconds of highlights on this guy to say, "Ooowwee If McHale doesn't pick that dude he is smoking drugs from outer space" McHale did pick him, then gave him away. And McHale does look like a Martian anyway.

So now Brandon Roy is the former NBA Rookie of the Year, and leading a previously sorry Portland Trailblazers team through one of the greatest turn arounds in recent NBA history.

It took me twenty-seven seconds, maybe less, to see how good Brandon Roy is. Kevin McHale and his advisors get paid a lot of money to scout talent, and his track record is incredible . . . in the wrong kind of way.

I promise you You could have tapped a non-English speaking bum on the shoulder in Los Angeles and he would have told you in eloquent Shakespearian speech that Marko Jaric is not a good NBA basketball player. McHale proudly gave Jaric a six-year, forty-two million dollar contract Somebody tell McHale that for forty-two million dollars my momma could play better defense than Marko Jaric

Kevin McHale acted like picking up Mike James was going to deliver the franchise to the promised land. That lasted one whole year&#
