BRIDGEPORT, CONNECTICUT--As the Founder of Black Men In America.com I wanted the first interview for Black In Reality to be special. Herbie Bagwell and his wife Dawn were kind enough to accommodate us and arrange for this interview. Before I interviewed Herbert L. Bagwell, Jr., I had the sense that he was an honest and hardworking family man with strong set of values. Of the 63 million NASCAR fans, less than 10% are black. Herbie Bagwell is an African American owner and driver, and the owner of BAGWELL MOTORSPORTS, INC. Herbie Bagwell is to auto racing, what Tiger Woods is to golf. I know very little about professional auto racing. In fact, I've never watched a race. Until this interview, I regarded professional auto racing as "4 left turns." At the end of this interview several things were confirmed. For starters, Herbert L. Bagwell, Jr., is indeed an honest and hardworking family man with a strong set of values and plenty of perseverance. He is on the verge of "blowing up" and making us all proud, but he needs our support. On one hand, Herbie Bagwell is an American success story. On the other hand, with more support, he can be bigger -- and he should be. Read this interview and learn why we need to support this brother and those who will follow him.
