In June of 2002, Festus was called away to serve as Senior Minister of Unity Church on the North Shore, Evanston, IL until his return to the Twin Cities in June. He’s also served as a minister in Houston, TXWoodbury, Minnesota. According to Festus, Minnesota has always been and still is his “true home.” prior to his service in Woodbury, Minnesota. Prior to ministry, he was an engineer in the automotive industry, and holds Masters Degrees in both mechanical and nuclear engineering.
Festus once noted, “Nuclear science, especially in quantum theory, together with a spiritual base from Catholic teachings and my native understandings, have opened me to non-linear way of conceiving reality, which I find consistent with the spiritual thinking and growth at Unity.”
Festus brings his spiritual base to the Unity teachings in a unique way. Unity is a positive, practical progressive approach to Christianity based on the teachings of Jesus and the power of prayer. Unity honors the universal truths in all religions and respects each person’s right to choose their own spiritual path. Unity reminds people that there is a spark of Divinity in each and everyone of us.
