HIRE Minnesota searches for missing persons at MnDOT work site

Klobuchar to hold statewide health care tele-town hall on Sunday

Washington, D.C. – U.S. Senator Amy Klobuchar will be hosting a live statewide tele-town hall meeting to discuss making health care more affordable and answer questions from her constituents.  Joining her will be Dr. Denis Cortese, CEO of the Mayo Clinic in Rochester and Mary Wakefield, the highest ranking nurse in the federal government.

Easier access to passport services

Washington, D.C. – U.S. Senator Amy Klobuchar, along with officials from the U.S. State Department officially open Minnesota’s first Passport Agency office yesterday at 212 South Third Avenue, Minneapolis. Klobuchar’s office said  the senator has strongly advocated for a Passport Agency office in Minnesota.

Renovated activities building to be unveiled August 20

BLOOMINGTON— Sen. Amy Klobuchar will address the grand opening ceremonies at Normandale Community College, 9700 France Avenue South, Bloomington, when college officials cut the ribbon on the newly renovated Activities Building on Thursday, August 20 at 9 a.m. The yearlong renovation process has converted an old gymnasium and unused athletics facilities into much-needed classroom and office space for the crowded campus.  http://www.normandale.edu/maps/index.cfm.

KIPP students jump start the school year in the summer

While most kids are still relaxing at the pool, students at KIPP Stand Academy are already headed back to school. The charter school opens its doors today for its second year, welcoming a new class of fifth graders and its returning class of sixth graders. The mandatory summer session, which goes until September 4, gives KIPP Stand students a head start on the school year and preparing for college.
