Every man and young man should have a job. The Lord placed the first man in the garden to work because work develops responsibility. The LORD God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it (Genesis 2:15). A woman should know if a man is responsible before she enters a relationship with him. It is best to find this out before emotions are involved because emotions can get in the way of good judgment. Five of the most important words a woman can say to a man are "Do you have a job?" not because she wants to know how much he makes, but to determine whether or not he has had experience in shouldering responsibility.

Men and women think and feel differently. This causes them to see the world from two different prospective. Man is often viewed as unfeeling because has within him the ability to suppress his emotions which makes it possible for him to deal unemotionally with the consequences of his actions. Unlike man, woman is an emotional being full of feelings. Her actions are centered on and influenced by her passions. The difference in the way men and women think and feel is a matter of heart and brain.

On June 22, 2013, my son Tim Jr. and his fiancé Shaunte will be joined together in holy matrimony. They are a beautiful couple with 2 beautiful children, Tim III, and baby Meia. The thought of my one and only son getting married has me looking forward to the day he jumps the broom. Although I have heard and used the term "jumping the broom" as a synonym for getting married, I never truly gave much thought to where the term originated.
