Reps. Hayden and Champion to host Spring National Night Out

Bobby Joe Champion, DFL-58B will host the 1st Annual Minneapolis Violence Prevention Spring Gathering on Saturday May 2nd, 10 am to Noon at the Sharon Sayles-Belton Center, Minneapolis Urban League, 411 E 38th St. Minneapolis MN 55409. Hayden and Champion have invited Minneapolis residents from across the city to come participate in this community event.

The event, a “Spring National Night Out” is an opportunity for  Minneapolis residents to learn about the many ways they can get involved in prevent violence in their communities. The gathering will feature a short program with speakers from the Legislature, violence prevention advocates as well the presentation of the Brian Thomas Award which will given to a community leader who has worked to reduce violence in Minneapolis.
