MPS welcomes students to school on September 1

The Minneapolis Public Schools will welcome students in grades 1 – 12 back to school on Tues., Sept. 1. Class for kindergarten students will begin on Thurs., Sept. 3.

Student Placement Services is offering extended hours for registration August 24 -28 and August 31, from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Families may call 612-668-1840 to register.

Individual school open houses are listed on the Minneapolis Public Schools website at www.mpls.k12.mn.us/2009-10_Welcome_Back_Events.html. Families may also access school supply lists, school opening and closing times, back-to-school tips and information regarding before and after school childcare.
