MPS ‘Check it Out’ chess competition winners announced

The Minneapolis Public Schools hosted a district-wide chess tournament at North High School on November 21.  Students in grades K through 12 competed in the day-long competition and top finishers in each division were awarded trophies.
K – 3 Division:

Individuals
1st place:   Gavin Ross, Pillsbury
2nd place: Kuri Cordova, Pillsbury
3rd place:  Anthony Rodriguez, Pillsbury

4 -6 Division:
