Searching for African American Descendants of Fergus Falls, Minnesota

We are planning a historical trip to Fergus Falls, MN, August 20-21, 2010.  This trip will include a visit with the Historical Society on Friday, Aug. 20, to learn how and when Blacks came to Fergus Falls, primarily from Kentucky; a trip to the cemetery and a tour of where Blacks lived, went to school, worked, and worshiped.  There will be a picnic Saturday, Aug. 21 at Pebble Lake.  Please contact Jeff  Tate at (612) 281-1052, Jon Anderson at (612) 919-6735 or Sylvia Loveless Amos at (612) 302-3102 for more information.
