Flow Art Space exhibition For the Love of Paint!, directly challenges the oft-repeated and much debated concept that painting is dead. Twenty-two local and national artists address concepts such as physical space, raw emotion, movement and texture in their works to convey that painting as a medium is still very much alive.

Lauren Krukowski is September's featured artist in Curator's Corner, an area of the gallery dedicated to the work of an individual artist. Inspired by the compositions of historically relevant interior paintings, her fresh-off-the easel series was completed with her unique, color-charged palette and bold lines, resulting in a contemporary take on the classics.

For the Love of Paint! runs from September 12th through September 29th, 2012, and a reception with many artists present will be held Friday, September 14th from 6-9 pm.

The gallery and parking are always free and open to the public. Flow Art Space is located at 34~13th Ave NE, lower level of the Keg House Arts Building in the Northeast Minneapolis Arts District. During shows the gallery is open Wednesday through Friday 1-6 pm and Saturday 12-5pm. For additional information, call 612-564-3569 or email:  This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
