Ramsey County and National Hockey League Players’ Association team up to provide new hockey equipment to 30 local children

The National Hockey League Players’ Association has donated 30 new sets of hockey equipment to Ramsey County Mighty Kids Steering Committee, courtesy of the NHLPA’s Goals and Dreams fund. This donation will give equipment to 30 youth players and will help many Saint Paul area hockey participants.

M.A.R.I.A.M. hosts marriage conference

Masjid An Nur, 1729 Lyndale Av. N., Minneapolis, will host a weekend marriage conference January 22-24.  The conference is sponsored by Muslim American Research Institute Advocating Marriage (M.A.R.I.A.M.) which conducts conferences nationwide presenting research on marriage in the urban population, the conference will unveil findings of the Institute’s latest survey.

The Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board (MPRB) held its annual meeting on Monday, Jan. 4, where the newly-elected and re-elected Commissioners took the oath of office for four-year terms.
