Kris Nelson dies peacefullyKris Nelson, who just turned 60, worked tirelessly over the past two decades to build strong bridges between the University, state and local governments, neighborhoods, and community organizations.

Nelson was director of neighborhood programs at the Center for Urban and Regional Affairs (CURA).  CURA pursues its urban and regional mission by facilitating and supporting connections between state and local governments; neighborhoods, nonprofit organizations, and relevant resources at the University, including faculty and students from appropriate campuses, colleges, centers or departments.
