Recently at the Capitol, Senator Bobby Joe Champion (DFL – Minneapolis) gave students from Banaadir Academy a tour of the building. The Banaadir Academy is a charter school in Minneapolis that promotes “a safe, caring environment for diverse students.” When Sen. Champion showed the kids the basement in the Capitol, one of them asked, “Can you drive cars through the tunnel?”“I love the enthusiasm kids have about being at the Capitol,” said Senator Champion. “It fills the office with energy and makes the day that much brighter.”
