Johnson received the 2013 Profiles in Courage Award, an annual recognition award bestowed on individuals who demonstrate courage and excellence in their leadership.

Minnehaha Academy students receive academic recognitionThree Minnehaha Academy students, Aaron Williams, Zoey Twyford and Tianna Briese received recognition as National Merit Awardees. These students received the designation of National Achievement Outstanding Participants by scoring in the top 3% of more than 160,000 African-Americans who requested consideration in the 2014 National Achievement Program when they took the 2012 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test.
