Motivational Moments: Take time to pause: Be grateful for the beauty in the journey that you're on now

Today was another day of focusing on what's most important in my life. I do this so often to reflect on the beautiful things around me that I may get to busy throughout my week to notice. For instance, sometimes I forget how wonderful my family is and how patient they are with me. I am a very busy person sometimes with all of my writing and working that there are times when I have to just pause and thank God for all of my wonderful blessings.
Spring is in the air, which also means that the marriage season is upon us. Marriage should be honored by all (Hebrews 13:4). This means that marriage is an honorable estate and should be welcomed and celebrated with love and admiration as its corner stone. "And this provides a good picture of how each husband is to treat his wife, loving himself in loving her, and how each wife is to honor her husband" (Ephesians 5:33 MSG). Everyone should honor and respect the institution of marriage.

What is wrong with saying how you really feel to someone? What is wrong with admitting that you want to do things differently than you usually do? What is the problem with confessing that you are ready for a life change and you are ready right now? These are the questions that I ask so many individuals when I hear them say that they are not pleased with where they are on their lives journey.

Although many of us celebrate Mother's day, we may not know much about its history. Mother's Day in the United States is annually held on the second Sunday of May. It celebrates motherhood and it is a time to appreciate mothers and the mother figures in our individual and collective lives. This is celebrated in different ways. Many people give gifts, cards, flowers, candy, or some other act of appreciation.

Stop right where you are and think about that one dream that is always on your mind, but you've given up on it for one reason or another. Or maybe you always wanted to move out of your current town but fear has paralyzed you into staying. If any of these scenarios remind you of yourself or someone you know, then I am here to tell you that it is never too late to finish what you start.
