“Criminal” investigation into Michael Jackson’s death focuses on drug Propofol

E-mail Print PDF
michaeljackson_b(Taylor Media Services) Was Michael Jackson a homicide victim? His sister LaToya says he was and his father Joe Jackson is suspicious. Also suspicious is the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) with reports emerging last week that the probe into the “King of Pop’s” death has now become a criminal investigation. Several media sources, led by TMZ.com, say the LAPD is treating the 50-year-old singer’s death as a homicide.

However, Sandi Gibbons, a spokesperson for the L.A. District Attorney, would only call the probe “a death investigation.” The focus of the investigation in on Los Angeles area doctors, specifically Dr. Conrad Murray who is said to have administered the drug Propofol to Jackson and that drug appears to have been the primary cause of death.

Last week’s developments occurred even though official autopsy results may not be released until next week.
