AARP Jazz Festival

Jazz Fest Live, presented by AARP Minnesota and the Twin Cities Jazz Festival, brings live jazz to your home every Thursday night. On Thursday, September 24, 7 pm CST, the virtual jazz concert will be headlined by singer Charmin Michelle

She has performed at jazz festivals throughout Europe with pianists Mulgrew Miller and Kirk Lightsey, and saxophonists Harry Allen and Grant Stewart, among others. The late Brother Jack McDuff, one of her biggest fans, was instrumental in launching her career abroad.

The Twin Cities Jazz Festival, established in 1998, is a non-profit organization with a mission to keep the art form of jazz alive and well in our community. This is the first time in the organization’s history the festival has been interrupted.

Jazz Fest Live is the jazz festival’s innovative program created to continue bringing live jazz performances after having postponed regularly scheduled in-person performances due to the coronavirus pandemic. Presented with AARP MN, additional support comes from the Minnesota State Arts Board, St. Paul Cultural STAR, NEA, HIWAY Federal Credit Union, RBC Wealth Management,  Xcel Energy, Oppidan and by your donations.

All shows are free and can be accessed from the site, via the Crowdcast app, and Facebook Live. Follow Twin Cities Jazz Festival’s Instagram feed (@tcjazzfestival) for updates and future events.
