Minneapolis police want the public’s help in identifying a man suspected of an assault motivated by hate.
On June 17 Minneapolis Police responded to a report of a stabbing in the area of 2001 Nicollet Avenue South. Officers arrived and found an adult male with serious slash wounds to the arm and stomach. The suspect, described as a Native or Hispanic male wearing a grey baseball hat, light colored blue jeans, a red tee shirt and has tattoos on his left arm and stomach, had fled the area. The victim was transported to Hennepin County Medical Center by ambulance.
Witnesses said that before and during the assault, the suspect was shouting racial slurs at the victim.
