Dear Editor:

This is old, however, I feel compelled to comment on it. I was surprised and disappointed when the news came out about Bill Davis and the Minneapolis Community Action Agency’s mismanagement of funds and not one word was mentioned about it in either of two Black newspapers. The news was not pleasant, albeit, however, it was news right on. I could not understand how one of the biggest stories in the Black community was omitted from out Black Press.

The Community Action Agency Board was remiss in their fiduciary responsibilities in overseeing staff actions as it related to the expenditures of funds. The least the public should have received was a public apology. The legislative body that signed off on the agency in order for them to receive their funds (federal tax payer dollars), was also negligent and should be held accountable as well.
